Aims
YWT has the following aims :

To produce and perform plays of the highest artistic standards
To work with under-represented groups through drama and productions
To use theatre and drama skills as educational tools promoting health education
To assist women to develop creative skills and to recognise unacknowledged strengths in these areas
To provide an environment for new writers, performers, directors, designers and administrators to develop their skills

Priority Aims for 2005 - 2008 :

To renew and consolidate the Artistic Vision of the Company

To raise and broaden company profile

To present culturally diverse programmes of work

To continue investment in local artists developing practical skills for use in a community context

To continue to train Asian and African Caribbean drama facilitators to support the work of the Company

To nurture partnerships with new and local artists, communities, agencies and funding bodies

To look at the possibilities of franchising established workshop programmes to reach a wider audience
